한국수의치과 설립전문의 선정 공고

한국수의치과협회는 대한민국 수의치과 및 수의 임상의 발전을 위하여 한국수의치과 전문의 제도의 시행을 앞두고 있으며, 그 시작을 함께하실 한국수의치과 설립전문의(Founder Diplomate)를 아래와 같이 모시고자 합니다.

1. 선정 내용: 2025년 한국수의치과 설립전문의 

2. 선정 대상 

한국수의치과 전문의 수련 과정의 조기 확립과 초기 진행을 위한 수의과대학의 수의치과학 분야 전임교원 및 전문의 제도와 수련 과정의 공동 운용이 가능한 개원가의 수의치과 분야 수의사 

3. 한국수의치과 설립전문의 자격의 범위 및 역할

가. 한국수의치과전문의협회 창립 및 구성

나. 한국수의치과 전문의 제도 시행 관련 업무

다. 한국수의치과 전공의 수련 과정 참여

라. 기타 한국수의치과 전문의 제도의 확립과 수의치과 발전을 위한 사항

4. 선정 인원

가. 학계: 2명 내외

나. 개원가: 2명 이내

5. 선정 기준

가. 공통 기준 

ﾷ 대한민국 수의사로서 수의 임상 관련 박사학위 소지자이며 최근 5년 이상 한국수의치과협회 정회원 자격 유지자

ﾷ  또는 미국/유럽 수의치과 전문의 자격 소지자(한국 국적 및 수의사 면허 보유자)

나. 학계 설립전문의

ﾷ 대한민국 수의과대학 수의치과학 담당 전임교원

ﾷ 부교수 이상 경력, 교육 및 연구 수행, 대학 동물병원에서 수의치과 진료 중인 자

다. 개원가 설립전문의 

1. 10년 이상의 임상경력이 있으며, 수의치과 분야에 충분한 진료실적과 학술 활동 실적이 있는 박사학위를 소지한 수의사에 한한다. 

1) 진료실적: 최근 5년간 1,500건 이상 또는 5년 이상 전체 실적 기간 동안 3,000건 이상의 소동물 치과수술을 실시한 실적. 

a. 전체 수술의 8할 이상이 집도의여야 한다. 

b. 수술 실적에 대한 증빙자료 요구 시 3일 이내에 제출하여야 한다.

2) 학술활동실적: SCIE 이상의 학술지에 최근 5년간 4편 이상 또는 5년 이상 전체 실적 기간 동안 5편 이상의 수의 치과 관련 논문을 주 저자로서 발표하고, 국내외 전문학회 (예; VDF, AVDF, EVDF) 학술대회에서 최근 5년간 2회 이상 또는 5년 이상 전체 실적 기간 동안 5회 이상 주 저자로서 수의 치과 관련   학술발표 또는 수의 치과 및 구강 외과에 관한 강의 실적 소유자

a. 전문학회의 해당 여부는 설립위원회의 결정을 따른다. 

라. 외국 수의치과 전문의 자격 소지자

•미국수의치과전문의협회(AVDC) 및 유럽수의치과전문의협회(EVDC) 전문의 중, 대한민국 국적 및 수의사 면허 보유자

Announcement for the Selection of Founder Diplomates of the Korean Veterinary Dental Specialists

1. Subject of Selection

Founder Diplomates of the Korean Veterinary Dental Specialists, 2025.

2. Eligibility

ﾷ Faculty members specializing in veterinary dentistry at colleges of veterinary medicine in Korea.

ﾷ Practicing veterinarians in private clinics capable of jointly operating the specialist certification and training programs, with the aim of establishing the training process at an early stage.

3. Scope and Roles of Founder Diplomates

a. Establishment and organization of the Korean Veterinary Dental Specialists Association.
b. Duties related to the implementation of the certification system.
c. Participation in the training of veterinary dental residents.
d. Other roles necessary for the development of veterinary dentistry in Korea.

4. Number of Appointees

ﾷ Academia: Approximately 2 persons

ﾷ Private Practice: Up to 2 persons

5. Selection Criteria

a. General Requirements

ﾷ The eligibility for application shall be restricted to licensed veterinarians of the Republic of Korea who possess a doctoral degree in veterinary clinical sciences and who have continuously maintained full membership in the Korean Veterinary Dental Society for a minimum of five years.

ﾷ OR holder of an AVDC/EVDC diplomate certificate with Korean veterinary license.

b. Academic Founder Diplomates

ﾷ Full-time faculty members in veterinary dentistry at Korean veterinary colleges.

ﾷ Associate Professor or higher rank, actively engaged in veterinary dental education and research, and currently providing clinical services in a university veterinary hospital.

c. Private Practice Founder Diplomates

ﾷ Veterinarians with at least 10 years of clinical experience, holding a doctoral degree, and with sufficient achievements in veterinary dentistry.

o Clinical Achievements: At least 1,500 small animal dental surgeries performed within the past 5 years, or 3,000 cases in 5+ years, with the applicant serving as primary surgeon in more than 80% of cases. Documentation must be provided within 3 days upon request.

o Academic Achievements: At least 4 first-author papers published in SCIE-indexed journals within the past 5 years, or 5 in total over 5+ years. Additionally, at least 2 first-author presentations at professional conferences (e.g., VDF, AVDF, EVDF) in the last 5 years, or 5 over 5+ years, including lectures on veterinary dentistry or oral surgery.

o The Founding Committee will determine recognition of professional societies.

d. Foreign Certified Diplomates

ﾷ Diplomates of the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC) or the European Veterinary Dental College (EVDC) who hold Korean nationality and a valid Korean veterinary license.
